Lauson Spring hore Genus species - Pedetes cafer Family - Pedetidae Super family - Anomaluroides Suborder - SCIURMORPHA Order - RODENTIA Example - Description Head - a buff brown color, whiskers long, eyes very large, ears about 1/2 or less length of a true hare's, whitish below. Body - a buffish brown above, hair bases grey, buffish tipped, a white band extending up sides of flanks from abdomen, bellow white. Tail - very long. length of body. same color except tip is black with long hairs. Front feet - legs short, 5 toes and claws, claws long and curved for digging, a prominent heel. Hind feet - legs very long for jumping, 4 toes with digging spade-like claws, 3rd toe largest, foot long. EX.
