Tom Larson Collected Dwarf Mouse Genus Species - Leggada minutoides Subfamily - Murinae Family - Muridae Superfam - Muroidea Suborder - MYOMORPHA ORDER - RODENTIA Example Specimen - 1860 ♀, own specimen, 5 mi. w. Luanshya, N. Rhodesia. Description Head - above greyish with light short bands of buffish brown, cheeks and throat with white hairs, ears large, grey with fine hairs. Body - greyish above intermingled with buffish brown, sides more buffish, bare of hairs grey. White ventrally. Tail - about as long as body, fine hairs and greyish. Forefeet - minute, 4 toes with claws, 5th toe very minute (atristage - no claw), feet white. Hindfeet - 5 toes with claws, 1st toes very small, feet white. Mammae - 8-10, Embryo - 5 usually.
