W. Luanshya, N. Rhodesia. Skeleton saved, feet 2'3". Description - Head - Long coarse whiskers up to 4 ½". Hair dark grey, cheeks more brownish white throat hairs short, nose black ears brown, short hairs inside, longer dark hairs outside ear. Body - Coarse dark grey hairs, streaked with brown, slaty grey bases. Below a greyish white Tail - almost as long as body, base half of tail black, tip half white, hairs short and coarse. Hind feet - 5 toes with claws, pads dark brown, dark grey hairs above, whitish hairs just about claws. Fore feet - 4 toes with claws, 5th toe (No.1) vestigial and clawless. Hair grey above, lighter grey below.
