Port Elizabeth, Cape Prov. 5. Apr. 170-47-29, Aug. 13, 1948 Description Head - soft grey hairs above, ears dark grey with fine hairs, cheeks and throat white, hairs shorter than above. Large cheek pouches. Body - above grey, slightly grey at base of hairs, lower sides and ventrally white. Tail - short, only about 1/2 of total length yellowish with sparse, short brown hairs. Forefeet - forelegs very short, 5 toes 4 with claws, 1st metapodial toe with a short nail or claw, feet white, pads light. Hind feet - legs longer than forelegs, 5 toes with claws, pads light, feet whitish. Mammae -
