Tom Larson Little Dale's Bush Otomys foot, black pads, toes below segmented. Hindfeet - 5 toes all with claws, yellow-brown hair on toes and foot, pads black below. Nails black at base and light tipped. Mammae 4 (ing) Paratomys brantsii KM-8329 ♀, 13 Jan, 1937, Eenriet (near SteinKopf, Namaqualand), 3000', Shortridge, 140, 96, 27, 15. Desc - top of head and body are slightly rufous yellow-brown color, ear tips black, sides of body a yellowish desert brown, slaty grey hair bases below light grey; tail about 1/2 length, feet yellow-brown, pads black, 5 toes on hind foot, claws long and well developed, 4 toes with claws on forefeet, a 5th toe vestigial (No.1), with a nail-like claw, tail dark stripe above to inch of tail base, pale whitish brown below. Paratomys brantsii luteolus KM-11180 ♀, 25 Nov. 1945, Municipal Farm, 4 mi. from, Middleburg, C.P., 4095', Shortridge, 143, 75, 26.5, 14. Desc - Deeper rufous brown above, darker grey below tail less than 1/2 length of body, black stripe on tail above to tail base,
