Shortridge, ?, No. 1627, Alt. 3000', 22 Jan. 1987, Kenseit, W. Steinkopf, Namqualand. (Personally collected) Description Head - a dark yellow buff along with dark slaty grey bases, cheeks a whitish light whitish brown as well as on chin, whiskers fine and dark, light patch behind ears, light buffished brown short hairs on outside and inside of ears, some blackish hairs showing on fore outer part of ear from base of hairs. Body - a tawny fluffy brown color (light) above, more greyish white on sides, below same as sides, base of hairs a dark slaty grey. Tail - shorter than body, fluffy hairs toward base become dark brown almost black toward tail tip above, below a lighter brown. Fore feet - 5 toes, 1st toe vestigial and without a noticeable claw, light yellow brown hair along an
