Description Head - faun above fair with slaty base white cheeks and throat and chin, ears faun, Body - a light faun, side and below white. Tail - length of body, faun color above, lighter below. Feet and legs - forefeet with 5 fingers, 1st very short with a short claw, others with long pale claws, white above, pads light, hind feet long, toes long, claws long, whitish above, Gerbillus poeba KM-12768 o, 22 Sept.1947 Slopes of Hontam Range, 3 mi. NE of Calvinia C.P.,3442' Shortridge, 95, - ,26, 15, (tail broken off). Desc- a dark brown above, sides faun, white below, tail brown above, faun below feet light above, legs faun, pads light.
