Tom Larson Domoro Ground Squirrel around lower ventual side. Skin is dark brown and belly has less spots esp. on under side of front and hind legs. Tail - About as long as body. Toward middle and extremity hairs about 1/2 "long, hairs white at ends, dark brown in the middle and white tipped. Below about 2" of tail base is a dirty white, above a dirty light brown. Forefeet - 4 toes and 4 long black claws with light tips. Pads black, hair on foot a dirty white. Hindfeet - 5 toes and 5 black claws light tipped, claws long, pads black, hair on foot whitish! Mammae - 6 sciurus Capensis) S.African Cape Ground Squirrel KM-9358 ?, 20 Apr. 1945, N. Cradock, C.P. Arends, 265, 200, 64, 11. Desc - same as Domaricus or manensis only darker rusty brown, white side stripes more pronounced, tail black in middle, white around edges all way around.
