W. Luanshya, N. Rhodesia, 440-225-45 Description, Head - Rusty grey coarse hairs. Ringed hairs black at base, then yellowish white, black, tips yellowish white, ears short and covered with short yellowish white hairs. Whiskers fine and black. Throat a dirty yellowish white. Body - A mottled buffish brown or reddish brown, mixed with greyish brown. Hairs ringed as on head. Streaked appearance. Below a light yellowish white or light brown. Hair very scare on abdomen. 2 pr. mammae aft, one pt under front legs. Tail - As long as body. A rusty brown color with alternate ridges of silver color and rusty brown, darker towards tail tip. Front feet - 4 distinct toes with claws, 1 innutial toe without claw (no.1), palm dark brown, grizzly grey hair on foot above. Hind feet - 5 toes with Claws pads and claws dark brown. 5 toe shorter than others. Hair grizzly grey.
