Personal Notes
Collected two Ratales, one in South
West Africa near Obahanyga, and one
near Molepolole, Bechuanaland. Neither
specimens were caught by me. A native
boy brought me one from Molepolole.
I have seen their digging and dens
in Northern Rhodesia. I could tell it
was a Ratel girl because I saw
beesway and honey combs scattered at
the opening of an old ant bear hole.
