shades white toward center. Many bank holes of Antimorpha, but
fluked none. Did not seem a "birdy" zone. [Rain threatened.] I set

logs, + dry holes in trees. Early set 10. Rain. Rain. Rain.
19 May 1978. My traps held 5 mice, including Hetemysps, 2 kinds of
Peromyscus (spec. catalog). Fog in a.m. but no rain. Occasional
Hummingbird near house. Some black-bellied pipes. Heard togeras.
Snailers near house; swiftly occasionally over woods. | Prepared to
depart. | Rain had worked road, but now worse than before. Cabin to Don

E. of Reto bridge). On way down saw motmot, pride, ruddy ground
clove - a good road for a bird transit. | Ascended to La Loma,
almost 3000' in pine. Then they had cages w/ several kinds of
half-grain pericoits, anaganti + jur. pasa, 2 llorazon half-grain,
personally bought from local hunters. | We continued on to
Quiriguá, stayed at Lemus' house. Early put a net across creek.
