Felis onca 23 October 1971. Nr, San Blas, Nayarit, Mexico, pejeckes, javalina, practically everything. He said Aviles Bros. of Mazatlan know "absolutamente modo" of jaguing that they changed $100 a day to hunt, but returned men with drums to "known" cells of hunters. Barra charges $200, with guaranteed kill. He said Sam Landis, author of hunting books, visited him one day. Bob Drew is Teter guide. P. said only about 3 guides equipped for tiger hunting in Mexico, 4 Nov. & 7 Nov. 1971. Berkeley Nigel Smith gave me 2 minutes ap. act of his observations (5 gaut. told) regarding current trade in skins. He showed slides including some of jaguar skins in Paris. He thinks heavy reduction nos. through trapping, much illegal trade. But hasn't seen wild jagues (has seen trolies).
