Journal 20 March 1973. Caracas Venezuela kill 2500 soon, or too many; white tailed deer, antelopes, red howlers, done scarlet ibis, anhingas. He said photographer Wiedemann there now. He said jaguars recently killed calves, bison; because of dry season? He said many farmers had fled, perhaps then departed, see yellow fever? We can visit ranch going with his driver on morning of March 22. Drive. to Bruguas, too! Driver had said once shot jaguar while it was eating a river turtle. Many turtles at Bruguas ranch - many eaten by jaguars, said de Frias. / Hector de Armas. said largest jag taken by this group was 126 kgs, on his finca, many years ago. // Met with Hermann Zieggy, bigs, in office.
