Visited Casa de Cultura, Museo Artesania, den iversity area, churches. Departed 1445 by 1st lone bus to Tepic (3 hrs, 28$ p.). Overcast then so stayd lense, Munder. No. SonBlos 23 October 1971. Took local bus to crucero de San Blas, where again talked w. H. Barra about tepic (see notes). He has punched Brahma cattle, inturated no alluvium + solar charge by food. Crossed river to San Vicente, hitched and walked to end Mexcalliton road, along road through mangroves saw glossy ibises, sandbill cranes, hundreds of ducks, + usual other birds including spoonbills. Camped by estero near Santa Cruz, where two gps. duck hunt- ers. Cattle & horses foraged in water (barly salty) among waterlilies. Piler of fana-posts cut from mangroves. Mosquitos all night; warm, humid, but no rain. 24 October 1971. Walked on to Santa Cruz, hoping to find truck N. toward Playa Navilleros. But the ferry "time broken and no traffic.
