Their sunrise excursion today; little breeze, warm, dry. Vegetation mod. grown.
1 July 1972. Rode in pirogue to Pato Canga, adjacent estio. Saw herd clearing in part of forest - opened long term left (for lumber, & killed by fire so sharp than falling). In hills, forested, but some areas of ungrazed 6' tall grass. Below hills, thick grass but trampled + grazed down, but still 1-3 tall.
Short scarlet palms in groundland. | We saw gpe 1-4 clear in groundland.
One two fought, engaging necks + heads, ending w. one showing other side. Saw one small antelope deer a road, when grass tall. | Saw about 50 Carajyrs, about 10 Cuthlites. Large gray hawk landed in front. 2 sparrow hawks (dark, grayish) perched a fence. Spur of black ani, + gpe of 8
