Walked S. 1.6 W., blue coll. 1.7W, ? 1 blue. 1.4E, 3 rest. 2.1E, 6 C.ob.
(juven.2). 1650, turns N.-no adult red sun on way to house (1725 arr.)
2 November 1965. Walks. Start 0.8 at 1620. 0.85W, 6 at
C.lobius. 0.9E, 2ad.1juv.C.abyss.(4/10altostri.+cirrus).0.9E,
2 blues 15'up.(excess sunshine). 1.75N; 2 ad.C.ob..85W,
5 C.ob.. 0.77, 12 at C.lobius (rest of spred go 40+ apparently).
Walked S. 1.75W, ad.ad.C.abyss. alone. 2.0W, 1 blue coll. 2.15W,
2 blues. 1730, turns back N. 2.05E, 1 at restful. 1.55E;
1 rest. 1815, 0.8W, 1 rest. (+3+crosses). 1830, P.R. 0.2N, 1rest.
6 C.abyss (2 juven) N. corner tea field.

4 November 1965. Fog, then sunshine; overcast afternoon. No rain.

5 November 1965. Visited Niro Block of forest, + saw Cercopithecus

damaged by colobus (abyss.). Eve road census. Rain midday.

6 November 1965 Visited Ft. Portal. Spent (1/2 hrs. with ranger
at Selintole, Protasio Muyanja (jun <1yr). He said lbebel+7
7 (boundary at K-7 sign nr. 0.03) cut about 6 yrs ago, sprayed
welwitschi
about one year ago. He said Olea most common this area, also
stramboaia. But Newtonia most in reproduction, + Strombovia prd.
second. Olea + Pygeum colonizins. Few Parinari (dense foliage
of small dark leaves). Parinarid sp. include Celtis, Ficus, Balanite,
Marliania (if from road), Cotin megel., others. All over 12"girth.
(I saw some large Parinari dead, killed because poor form.) Fagana
fairly common (big camp. lf.), but I have not seen monkey eat (spiny).!
