27 October 1965.
Kibale Forest, Toro, Uganda
None in trees A, B, C. Rain hard at night.
28 October 1965. Several calls from different directions heard from
Bridham house at 0630, when coles crowing + barely light enough
to read outside. Same other mornings, more than at any other time
of day. Sound a start rain does not start calls (as in howlers).
1555, Brid. Rd. 0.12 N. in Olea, 6+ including "snagtooth" ↓.
Highest in tree a subdued ↓ vs. anterior crown silhouette ↓.
1610, Danmill Road 0.5 E., 4 ad + 2 juvs (1°2yrs.) in troller
tree, sparse foliage, on w. twig new leaves (Celtis ?). Dead.
3 large ↓-↓, which fed in fine leaved top after others desc-
ended. Slow driving (5 mph) 5 m road; saw none until
1.5 E, where "stump tail" ↓ alone. 2.05 E, 2 ads. in Celtis,
but not see "binkle tail." Overcast, but drier & less threatening
than yesterday; light breeze - and fewer monkeys seen! About
1730, 4 at + in Celtis mr Brid. Rd. 1.5 N. (snagtooth gp.?)-
Then in fact ⅔ mile E. of Bridham's house, 6 (1 juv. 2) rapidly
eating foliage (tree 300+ yds from tree "A". Heavy rain night,

29 October 1965. Low stories. 12p of 9t near start of Church
Path, to N. P.R. 0.1 N., one adult (snagtooth gp. not seen). Walked
S. 0830, 1.27 W., one ad. in top dead liq Balsamite. Calm,
overcast; many flies; few monkeys out. Saw more dry 1.7, &
nore
walked back N./0955, gp. still near N corner of tea estate,
but counted only 8 (3 juvs., 1 to 3 yrs.) in one spindly Olea
top, 80' tall. Mod. foliage. Best seen ↓ highest (only ad.?)-
One juv. = ↓. Occas. one pile or chew picked leaf, but little food.
