atopine forest. In solid swamp of N. aspect forested slope to S.;
saw gps. of 1, 3, 3, 1, 1. / 105g swept slopes to W.N.W. + saw g.p.
100' below crest to W.N.W., 8 in crown one mod. tree. 200+ yds. down
slope, 1 (W.S.W.). | Brightens about noon; ceiling 500+ ft. above tower.
The close g.p. to S. had 4 ad., juv 1, juv 2, and white infant. Rotten all
white, climbed on shoulder "mother." The juius wrestled playfully, 50'
(1 gr. other)
below others. Two ads. grooming using teeth + fingers. About 300
yds. upslope from there, also at forest edge, 4 or 5 (when can last
see) by cypresses; 2 ads. on dead snag on ground (photo). | Look
ing down over edge rock, saw 2 ads. including "stump tail." At site the
red terminal leaves (small) of comp. led. tree. About a dozen trees
along base of this cliff, + monkeys can go from one crown to
another, apparently, & occasionally onto rock face. Simitat calls
bring quick looks toward us (up). Sprinkler; left about 1330. |
