Kofad, CB 25 Colobus abyssinicus 6 October 1968 Toro Game Preserve, Toro Uganda droppings (balls) undetected which used both for root & feeding. Eol-eat fruits or tiny flowers. Tree only 40' tall, or less. Stopped at upper game camp, about mile 5, & was told same in long adjacent Wesa R. valley, tho aspect rather driv dry than near game lodge.. I saw one also; good view of crowns from above. | Back in Kibale Forest, large gp. (1500 and casual) (1400-700) in tree A, when not seen for long. Counted 9 (3 juvs. 2-3 gro., 3 ad. ?????, 3 ad. ??, ?one left u ?one left u yrs., 3 ad. ????, 3 ad. ??, one left u ). Biggest had slanting scar over L eye, medial O' O'. Then ate the Celtis leaves. One gr. & w. inf. Juv. gr. adult, + reverse. Inf. ate some leaves or held to mother (rump grayish, ?not elongated.)' /About 1730, mi. 0.4 W., 7 incl. ?? and gray inf. (2nd some gp. or seen late Sept?), limit 50 yds. N. a gp. of 4 large ads. (3 or all ????) / From K-6 on road, saw 7 (incl. 2 small juvs.) 200 yds. S.
