27 September 1965, Kibale Forest Tora, Uganda.
1.33 E., 4 ov in 100' Danish Balanite tree, where rarely seen; wary, &
retreats when I over 100 yds from tree, 11.35 W., 4 (at least + ads, +
♀ juv. 1 in tree near C. lodiuis. One sat 3' from loduius. C. a.
making
coughed w. tongue out, makes "razzberry" sound. /0930, 1.4 W, 1 od.
rested atop tree (where sometimes gp. of 7). 1.7 E, od eating
Malkania flower buds. /1030, sev'l of band A" at 1.0W, +
2 C. lodiuis in same tree. Subtle but prob. retreat slightly
from loduius. /1100, Bridh. Rd. to E. in well foliaged (Olea?)
tree, 6+2 infs. And (Not part band A??). / Pu.K.

2 juvs. (1 od, 3 ♀ ads. ident.;) juv. w. ad. ♀ in Celtis +
Merker Malkania. Ad. ♀ grv. ad. ♀ /1600, 10+ in same
tree as seen & photos'd this morning, 1.0 W. / In census
also saw gp. at 1.1 E (5 od.): 1.37 E (5 mil juv.) ♀; 1.95 E (5 ad.)
(at 1.37 E., 5 when seen in mon. with C. lodiuis.). / at 1.13E,
5 ads, + seemed to eat spherical fruits of (Coffee?).
28 September 1965, Band of "A" at about same place as
yesterday morning, 1.0 W. Also 7 ads. to E. of (l) as usual.
Overcast; showers 11 a.m. /0915, 2 in area of 3 C. lodiuis
in forest nr. Bridhan's NE corner. /0955, to K-6 (mi. 0.3) and
+ saw gp. of 11 in partly bare tree 150 yds. E. Included 3
infs. (held by mothers; grayish lower backs), 2 ad.♀♀,
4 ad. ♀♂ (3 with infs.), subad. ♂, juv. 3 ♀♀ (with + w. inf.).
2 ♀♀ together; one took (or was given) inf. held by other, &
no further interaction btw. ads. All within 20' dist on
same big open level. One inf. (1 yr.?) to Mother holding inf. &
passed her inf.; then sat calmly alongside. Ad. ♀ to 4w. inf.
