0.25 on S. side Brid. Rd. (100yds. NW of tree C). But none in trees A,B,C. | after showers, 1800, still 3 there + none in A,B,C. 1825,
at least 5 ad. in 3 trees to E of mi. 1.15 (prob. the same)
the closest 8' apart, 10 to 20' from tops tree having little leafcrow
(tiny)
And still an ad. & 40' up fine new-leaves tree at .05 on ribbon
Rd. Overcast + drpping. 1850, still 2+ at foot tea field, nr
0.25 Pr. Rd. (the usual "tree C" group?).
21 September 1965. In morning, 0800 the 3 still there. | 0920,
Bridham Rd. .05, 2 ad. of (cranes) in larish tiny new-leaf
tree. When approached, they looked to another tree, then descended
to ground, crested through brush+ herbs + ascended short
dist. up stater was foliaged tree (photod first). | The
group of 7 adults still to E. of mi. 1.1, same tree as yesterday,
eating tiny leaves (senile alt., leaves folded, serrate venis.
hang down both side branch D x-sect.). Then 0935. | 0940
mi. 1.2 to W., 5 ad. + black inf. One descended to 15' to feed
on Marlebania flowers. Apparently; mother w. inf., 2 other
ad. ff, 2 juv., of of 2-3 yrs., big of, senior ad., one
redtail in same tree. | Heard the grotting calls,
about 1/4 mile to E of mi. 1.2. Alto studies; colus. | 1010,
mother w. holding. stayed 100+' from other, in crowm umbella
tree. A C. bodius in same tree came to 6' from her &
stayed 10+ min.; then departed to S. | 1100, across road, to N.
(of highway)
of Bawnell, saw 3 ad. and 3 redtail 50+ yds. from pool
in shrub + small tree vegetati. Once a redtail stalked out
branch toward Colobus, + latter looked at it & set retreated.
