Kafady C3 1 Ceropithecus lhoesti 8 September 1965. Kibale Forest, Toro, Uganda From skin at same Dent Entebbe, identified as this species, known [2] newly from Impenetrable Forest, Wood seen in Kibale Forest, 6 mi. S. of Kagera SM. 24 September 1965. about 1830, after rain, at mi. 1.68 on road S. of Kagera Bannill, in area where several redtails or blue seen a or same previous eve, saw one. It walked out of branch about 8' ap, in opening in tree, & stayed while descend from 20 yds. Throat white; grey below eyes; mostly black, but distinct red brown are on back, + base of tail (ventral black) while center tail gray + tip larger + black. Sestum pale blue-white in field of black, very conspic. in rear view. Still there 1/2 hrs later, & (25 Sept, 1965) also next morning about 0900 on same branch. No other seen. Movements jerky. From sleek + black - cat like. Tail once up in Kagera Sawmill Rd. to S.- mice curve . mi. 2.024 3 November 1965. she mod. thick Thoma tree, at least 3 about 8' up. at least 4 blues in some goril area, + gp. of Colobus obsys, across road. See C. mitis for 29 Aug., 4 Sept., 6 Sept. 1965. Kigami area Kibale Forest First seen 23 August 1965. about 1230, about mi. 1.0 on Kagera Sawmill Rd. route, Carla K. saw 3 run across road (probably this sp.). We heard grunts in bushes, sounds running, but not up trees. Black w. from social area. 6 September 1965. First good view of group Kagera Rd. (see C. mitis, p 2)
