30 September 1965 Kibale Forest, Toro Uganda
when fed a weak gerya or short grunt; location coll? Some in Oba,
but not sure whether ate it. One C. mit. in sametre (Trema?) w.
blues. 1.65w, 2 on Marelania's flowers. | Kristi K. said she saw
blue
a blue give way & love perch when redtail approached, & redtail then
occupied the perch (supplant?). | Saw more along Wora R.
in Toro Game Preserve; tho saw C. mititans there.
6 October 1965. Road S. of Kagera samill, 1755, 6 (no info.) feeding in Marelania, mostly on
flowers. A Cercocelus sat in sep. tree about 50' from
some blues. 1.56w, 3 now ate Marelania, + 1 seemed to
set Celtis. 6 C. not mititans scattered in vicinity.
8 October 1965. 1815, 1.55W., 3 or+ (2 were fuzzy juven.).
10 October 1965. Mr. Kanyawara forest sta; first forest patch; saw
several in evening. 2 within 5 yds. of redtail. Blues ate (leaves; flowers?)
of bay-like tree (rough bark; leaves, no odor).
11 October 1965. 1/10 overcast, bright. 1030, mi. 1.13E, 6 at blues
(wid. + 1 large juv.) about 20' up in small trees. Possibly more
crepuscular than redtail, but out in mid daylight too.
12 October 1965. 1530, after rain, 2 or+ feeding in tree 200 yds. N.
of o.15 or Prith. Rd. (Left Ft. P. area Oct 13).

In evening heard our guide "mimou" a few x to
E. of "fire town" of softwood plantation; in forest
at edge plantation, Cebinus olyssinium in area too.
19 October 1965. From "fire town" about 5 p.m., groups of 6 at
edge forest (+ plantation) to SW, about
40' up in mod. trees
