Koford 11 Colobus badius 2 November 1965 Kibale Forest, Toro Uganda The group spread 200 yds. now, 10 at about 50yds of main site first seen this a.m. Seul on single & thick branch of 80' tree, in open. But some jumped to adjacent tops. 1 Ad.w. juv. sec- oned a dead tree. Ad. jumped 8 ± ' across to another, without hesitation; juv. ascended first tree 10', went out branch seen second, jumped down into it, & climbed down to adult. Smst juvs! 12 at in crete top w. mod. thin foliage. 3 November 1965, 0815; 0.9 w., 1 ate leaf (Olea?). (about 3 nettles in low Trena nearby.). / 0.55 w., 40+. 2 within 50' of gps. C.alys./The 0.9 one in tree where said C. alys. photoed about 3 weeks before. Also, C. al. in tree where C. badius a few min. earlier, na. .5w. / 1710, 8/10 overcast, calm, 0.75-N, in Merakania? 4 November 1965. Sunny after fog. about 1040, 3 in top tree & apparently feeding on 6" simple thick dark-green glossy leaf fruit One dropped, often holding or hanging by one hand, to swamp ground, then to perch on down log, then on ground -7 nests. 5 November of 1965. Near swamps at 0.8 w., 1130, after rain showers - 0.75w.; 7 (2 juv), eating small dark leaf of 80' tree, and at 0.75 w., 12 (4 juvs) in 3 trees (one Olea). Lately common; evening, about 1630, 4 at + 0.85 w. about 1830, 14+ at 1.1 E, eating large (8")? simple leaf (=?), not a food seen eaten by C.alys.
