Koford, c Cercopithecus aethiops 2 October 1965 Wasa R., Toro Game Preserve, Toro Uganda about noon saw one running slowly, doglike, on road and onto the bridge. Trees wide apart, & somet. over 50yds. from trees. As car approached it stood on hindlegs as if to look at me, then ran down back into very tall grass (4 not up tree). / On previous trip to this area saw 2 gps. along shore of Lake Albert, in region of the falls, in area where also saw Colobus olivaceus. | In evening saw 3 walk down the trunk of large spreading tree near river at edge great land on th Wasa game camp, within 50yds. of when I had seen C.olyps. on previous occasion, on ground 4 October 1965. I saw one near native house at N. end Wasa bridge. 5 October 1965. About 9 a.m. I saw two (one half gps.) stop well- leaved tall tree near river about ½ mile S. of Toro game lodge. In eve saw one '½ mile downstream from Wasa bridge atop thick foliaged larch 15 ft tall; sometimes only head protruded. Entebbe, Uganda. 25 October 1965. Visited F.R. Mann of Vervet (EA). Saw 5+ free on road 200yds. short of his house. See Journal, photos.
