5:55, famin. walk of K-6 sign, one 20' up in 40 ft. tree w. sparse folia,
28 August 1965. 0940, K-6, in compound dead tree 100 yds. ESE,
2 (ad + juv.) picked & ate fruits (?). In another tree w. yellow
flowers (Markhamia ?), 15' tall, 1 redtail ate apparent buds &
flowers. 1120, 2 still in tree nr. K-6, feeding. | 1145, ¼ mi.
E. of Buhawa house, 1 redtail handled (ate ?) yellow flowers of
(10+)
tree. | Mi. 5.4, at big turnout, 7 at (+1 blue). Also nr.
mile 5.3, at least 4 at 1130. Redtails moving about fast &
frequently, so hard to count.
5 September 1965. About mi. 0.9, one mangabey with
band of C. mititans.
6 September 1965. About mi. 1.5, 7 p.m., 6+ in one Markhamia
tree eating yellow flower buds, & sometimes upper rim of large
flowers, discarding rest → divord. This tree is common yellow-flower
ed one in which various monkeys seen lately.

13 September 1965. 1030, mi. 1.1, 1 in band w. 1 C. ladius +
7 ad. C. alyssin. The redtail to the C. ladius, which ground it!
Mi. 3.9, about 1300, boat to W, including 2-½ green juvs. All jumped
snugly across gaps, going 15' across & falling 20'+. Legs held out in full,
likely first, & not paddled. The juv. fell especially far. Landed in foreign
branch. | Mi. 4.3 (area 20' stump out. side road) a single redtail
eating 15mm diam. spherical green fruit, smooth, in "apricot"-looked
tree; apparently alone. Rain started.
14 September 1965. Saw 2 w. C. ladius & Cercocobes nr. Mpango.
R. at mi. 5.5 about 1000. |1230+, mi. 2.1, 2 to E. Commonest &
most widely distributed forest monkey here.
