ridge. No said he saw 3 infante, the 2 & walking in succession, & that
they had continued into E. Colin canyon - a long row; some slam?

So evidently at least: 7 ad. 4f., 3 jips, 4 f yrl., 2f immo (2-4), 2
ad.0?0?; probably more - about 20 in gp. / Tada left 30 April. I
talked w. him in Tokyo on May 3, & got his notes & maps. He decided also go.
4 May 1966 Takago-yama, Chiba-ken
With Koyama, at feeding area A, about 250 m. Molt - 2 ad. 0?0?,
near hair central anter. rown, 4x6 cm. area. Also in same 2 &; &
occas. one w. our hair forearms. So molt started. Food - provision
year round, but (under pressure) Koyama thinks about 20 % natural
in winter, 50 % in autumn. In autumn food abundant & monkeys
travel more, shake tree more (aggressive? or poor visibility?).
Ologo - shot & scraggly compared to Shimohita. Cues prominent
here. Some have faint striated "look to fur - transverse bands of
roughly
slightly light color, 1/8-1 cm. apart. / Births so far in group A.
? Issa - 10+ yro. - Inf.? b. 4/14 No yrl.
? Yori - 6+ ? 4/20 No gyl.
? Muja - 6+ - ? 4/24 No yrl. - but 2 yr old?
Feeding area A - about 2 mi. NNW of summit Takagoyama. Summit
(Lake no? might temper weather this.)
315 m asl. Mishima weather sta. 4 km. E. of area A. Seirea 4.5 km.
Takagoyama 35°15'N, 139°-55'E., 8 km. from sea (to SW). / Plant info

of Chiba Univ.; identified plants & food items.
