Buds to about 3 mm long on low red-tipped communal-lishshul (much browsed by deer). Moss & fern some gray green, + tiny leaves Rhododendron. Alnus, no hotel, rather elongated & loose - tenders. One tree until E. of shrine had tight new colbrins (sp. ?). (Mwion said 10). / at 3 site a laterally extending shrub 10+ ft. tall had bark eaten by dry monkeys on twigs 1-2 cm. diam.; photos & collected. No other bark eating seen. Collected twigs & buds from Fagus & Carpinus T. (?) in ridge thro E. of shrine, for possible nitid. analysis. / 0930, saw 2 stop ridge just N. aft rid E. of shrine, on Alnus ground in dry grass me.
