About 2 p.m. walked up wooded valley of K., right N. of Kusodamari
turn, with S. Azuma + C. Nagel. Beans in small plate near bottom.
Newly cut trail. About ½ mile up came to 6 x 10 shade in shade large
Thujopsis or Cryptomeria tree, + then met Masaro Otake of JMC.
Some monkeys feeding from flat box of wheat, + others nearby. Some
ad-7 Medialanturia crowns of 6 four conspicuously molted. Saw 8
at once, including 2 ad. 7+, + 2 ?? w. infants. One letter within 20' plus
at turnin, + 07 charged near me (6-8') when I tried to eat apple. | tree
in canyon: Thujopsas, Camus, Acer, Fagus, Prunus, Chestnut, other.
Some chestnut in flower. Big tree to 60' or +. | One 3-yr 7-funties, law,
with patch lost loin side; only one in poor condition. / Azuma said
now: 07 Ad. 2 4-5 3 2 1 1st.

Saw 10 + 3 ufs. at once within 20 yd. space + within 20 yds. shrewers.
Azuma said local people started feed last Oct. He came May 20 + found
fairly tame. Since June 13 provisioned regularly this site. One ad.
lack 2/3 molted. Only now started to accept wheat. (Food mainly gave,
+ Az. worried that might start to eat crops.) Az. says they strip
Cryptomeria bark; that eat conifer, winter. | We walked upstream
& N. slope into shaded forest with little undergrowth to tops
of ridge, when Az. thought might provision. He had previously seen
& fed monkeys there, about 2 mile from + 500' above down feeding
site. Prod. trail could be built. | We suggested building cross feeder
for feeding, installation within instruments, + enlarging small house
for sleeping.
