NYZS agreed to pay bill. Contract was to be signed Mon morning Aug 12. 12 Aug 1963: Man Andersbergson another Alacitte arrival; air group is waning, & all heli- operations suspended for 8 days. Then, our plan fell through. 14 Aug 1963: Left Tamblin to Botayo to find out about one army heli. It could only be used in swing, or as part of their own operation in Valdivia, & at any rate not until end of month. Because of percent + poor radio front in common with Chabrian group. They had progressively about 1 mile radius toward Selen; regular prog- res. They did not want heli- help. Only way of commu is to fly over their ground & near Motalo base - taking early, which often gets poor. In evening I was setting up but not near a pool about 30 yards from beds birding & saw topic diving about 25 yrs. from me; seemingly unway. Probably locals seldom hunt with light at night. In morning about 0630 I had gone to site at edge capital when K. Last time seen an agent on across the path. I saw it; it froze, collected it, a beating & 16 Aug 1963: Karpelhe departed Luisiana to cross over Sivas (?) below Tercita, + appear possibility of ascending Cordilla Valdivia, by this route.
