7 traps along top edge cut bank edge river bed yield 3 mice.
# 2014. Ør 20 20. Divested similar Ør, 22 gms., test: 4 mm. long.
16-20 July 1963. Collected bird daily. Caught some bats in net left out at night, last bag later for it up. Albat traps (4-2) set once, but usually Éoli Dideiphis only. This also common usual seen in night hunting. One day Karpel saw bird 30' walk + shot one having (# 2039 C8K), in different near stream. In dense tangle, I shot Dasypro and some upon heavily trodden (peruana?) log, per river bank. Opisthophorus & xenogymn nesting in trees. Former must commonly seen + heard birds. Every evening Karpel guides collect near riverine bank, sand + rocks, + none in ploughed field. One night heard some Nyctibian gravis, no own bird. Oecus. Toxora tyger or macerona (?) in sand on table- tary north. José Parodi saw a American jumping into river from banks. Occas: 1-5 Campos shaking in dried long pole red point near farm, can fruit barri + anana (1 shot - gun) care to hacienda airfield. Crops: coffee, corn, yuca, plantain, papaya, cocoa. Balance + coca brought in for selling. Along all stream, Kerp men isolated pools, use slash branches (Karpel from forest usually needed to return). Much cutting + burning up, any chance on w. side river, a days smaller at one farm and nearly all collecting in area district. Apertura & its E habitatus, has hato foru, while D medius, on 5. Fair radio common, with satellite through. José Parodi rides.
