October 17, 1956 at 11 a.m. one perched in tree at edge clearing 50 yds. SW of New Lab. Took photos (3 1/4 x 4 1/4). Two Colours at edge clearing below were apparent attraction. Numb allowed approach by me to 100 ft. On a lower open branch of tree. January 3, 1957. J.E. Graf reported he saw 2 near Lab. I saw one gliding gliding near clearing Dec. 31, 1956. 15 January 1957. In afternoon I saw one carrying snake in flight above trees SW of 1924 Bldg. Going to nest? Snake dangling, perhaps 1 1/2 ft. long. 20 February 1957 I saw one circling to W. of 1952 Lab.
