Have taken some (specimens in catalog) in clearing Mr. Chapman
House // This morning evening took me in must net near S.M. I. Forearm 43,
ut. 20 gms.; measurements 63-0-16-14. Slight pigment vulva.
Nips slightly enlarged; turgid, 2x2 mm., + specks pigment.
Pregnant; 1 emb. 11/2 C-R. // Another taken at S.M. I in net in
evening also pregnant; 1 emb. 20mm. C-R. Bat wt 20 gms.
after died in cage p.m. of Jan. 4. Forearm 43. Vulva lips
pigmented. Nips turgid, 1 1/2 x 1 1/2, not pigmented, sparse
fur adjacent to nipple. Fur gray tinted from lateral abdomen.
Another ♀, netted Mr. Allee House. Forearm 43, wt. 18. Graython prov-
66-0-10-18.
can area (brown). Measured 65-0-10-14. Nipples turgid, round
tipped, 2x2 mm., not pigmented, sparse hair around nipples.
10 1 emb., 10 1/2 mm. C-R. Row. 1.9 long & bright orange color.
Are those at Summit Gardens pregnant ?
January 9, 1957 In talipot palms at Summit Gardens &
took about 5 ♀♀ from cluster of 15 ±. Appeared pregnant.
Some roosting singly. ♀ took me - or with enlarged testes.
♀♀ together & or ?? single ?. Way lots; not easy to take in net.
Butterfly
Some had mites on wing membranes, & one fly seen on one.
♂ wt. 16, forearm 43, tes. 7 1/2 x5, no apparent sperm; epid:
tubules visible st. 7x9 magnif. / One ♀ wt. 22 forearm 44 preg-
nant, 1 emb C-R 14, lgst., ov. 3x2 mm., pale orange. Four
other♀♀ 16-18 gms., embs. C-R 11,13,17, + 8, 11,13, 4/6
mm.; nips 2 mm. wide; turgid, ∧, yellowish, no nick;
lips vulva & anus dark gray.
29 January 1957 One flew into lawn floor room of Chapman
House in evening before 10 p.m. ♀, 20 gms., voy. perf., moderate
