Saccopteryx bilineata
12 January 1957 Barro Colorado Is, Canal Zone
1 wide x 2 long, pigmented tip, forearm 47), 38-815/4, ♀ /some
but forearm 46. //♂ caught another ♀, nipples similar ♂, vulva
pigmented moderately. Had 50+ red cliggins underwing surfac+t
their cluster at base tail dorsal; 20+ yellow cliggins inside ear.
Saved in ROH. Wt. 6 gms, forearm 47. Head uterus not swollen
no apparent reprod. activity. Nipples ½ wide x 1 long, block tip. //
15 January 1957. I saw about 30 on trunk of Big Tree on Van Tyme
trail, but none landed.
16 January 1957 at least 2 or outside of screen of Betela House
at end JZ tail (JZ 24). Three in Tower bany, with 2 micro-
mysteria (in tin box on floor. None landed.
7 February 1957 I saw 2 in house at Town.
16 March 1957 Actual 40+ bats on trunk of big tree on Van Tyme
trail.
1 April
31 March 1957 One ♀ in net at BLO in morning.
8½ gms. Niprs pigmented, 1 wide x ½ high. Vulva
slight pigment. 1 emb. C-R 13 mm. No ectoparasites.
24 April 1957 [La Jagua Club] 4 s.I.E. Pacora, Panamá
Caught 3 and saw several others in cavities among fig vines
growing on Dose tree. Also saw 4+ about 6 between buttresses
another tree. Two or three flew down & entered cavity, then
smoked out. This tree 100 yds. 5 w (?) of clubhouse. Claimed
those captured. ♀ forearm 47, 1 emb. 27 mm C-R. ♀, forearm
48, C-R 24 mm. ♂, forearm 45, testis 3 x 1½. ♀, nip block, 3 mm.
long, forearm 47, 1 emb. C-R 23 mm. Gamboa, Ci.Z.
1 May 1957 In evening took one in net about 8 p.m. at edge
law near house 0277.
