C. Koford 5 Artibeus jamaicensis January 12, 1957 Barro Colorado Is., Canal Zone 1 mile, 10+ red skagging, 5+ yellow skig. in cars; measured 86-0-15-23, 44gms.; 1 emb. C-R14; Rar. had yellow-brown cooper 1½ lean; nips mod. pigmented, marked 4 wide x 3½ high, unmarked area 12 mm. long; pigmented lips very far over. David & Ann Me Robate put up specimen. David set parasites. 3 February 1957 One ♀ taken in net last night, 65gms after stoned in captivity, forearm 7½mm.; vulva pigmented, nips slightly pigin.; L av. with pink cooper 2 mm. lean; ROv. yellow, 3½ x 2½; uterus enlarged as if plodated; nipp- les turgid ∧, 3¼ wide x 2¾ high. = 1/turatus palmarm. Another forearm 62½, was of testes 8 x 6½. Stewed, weighed 40 gms. 1it. palm. 31 March 1957 By 9 p.m. one taken in net at BLO. Forearm 6 4½. Light brown fur. Tot. len. 90. 60gms. wt. 0 parasites. Much lactial tissue but no milk in. No emb. L av. bloodshot. Nipples pigmented, 5 wide x 4 high, flaccid, marked 3 mm. area around. 2 May 1957 with Charles Honsley visited at Madden Wye, C.Z., atlic of concrete gasoline storage shed. Corrugated iron roof on 2X4 framing. about 100 large bats (specimens 1949 to 1952, CBK). Some pregnant, and a few now breeding but large, and some moles present.
