Dr. Sally Hughes-Schneider told me that today she saw a snake swallow
a bat. As she passed a termite nest near J-6, a coiled up snake fell
out of a termite nest next to the trail. The snake was about 5 feet long,
dark brown, light below (Chimin?). Snake was coiled around a bat. Eventually
(she watched 10 min.) snake swallowed bat down. She saw another bat
go out and in same hollow termitate nest.
