Roford 12 Eira barbara August 29, 1956 Barro Colorado Is., C. Z. About 3 p.m. I saw one near on bottom of tree near strangler fig 10 yds. S. trail at SM 4. No alarm at 30 yds. It soon walked away. One (perhaps this species) with white eyeskin seen BL 1 about 9 p.m. last night, 50' up in tree overtrail. December 26, 1956. Warren Earst saw one near SM not far (SM4?) from laboratory area. 1 February 1957 a scoutmaster reported seeing one between AVA and JZ near trail from JZ 21. 3 February 1957 Bruce Howes reported seeing and photographing two on WMW about half a mile from the town. Near start of FM Chapman trail. One called in brand, & the two seemed to play. High up, perhaps 80 ft. 28 May 1957. I saw one near WMW 11 walking near head of column of army ants.
