C. Koford 1956 Dasyprocta punctata July 27, 1956 Barro Colorado I3, C.Z. Carl Bettemeyer notes two at DC 3.5, one 20 meters each side trail, 10:00 a.m. July 29, 1956 Carl Bettemeyer note. Two young, 1/3 to 1/2 length note, possibly nursing. The 200 meter east of JVT6. Needs under posterior abdomen of asst. 10:30 a.m. December 22, 1956. About 4 p.m. saw one at FEL 4. It all- owed approach to 30 ft. before taking fright. In last 2 months I have seen one or about 4 times near SM 1/2 to 2, and on Nov. 28 saw one near Whelen 15 (or what out to AVA). 20 November 1956 About 9:15 a.m. saw one near Litz 4. Also saw one here in evening about Jan. 3. 16 January 1956. At AVA 8 1/2 near Big Trees saw one on ground, then sitting up on hindlegs, forefeet well off ground, upon a log. It fled calling loudly. 13 February 1957 I saw one on trail near WMU 14 about 10 a.m.
