1. Code 1958 Lemnus trinucleovatus 7 June cant of nests was found today across the never just above (away from the never) the railway zone in which T6 is located. This quadrat is characterized by scattered low willows 6" to 12" high with a thick stand of quars, Carex and Eriophorum growing around and under the willows. There is little tussock formation and few poly- gons. The ground is moderately well drained. Very few forbs present and very few shrubs as heaths. Ground slopes gently toward river and covers ranges from 25 to 100 yds wide between the higher willow zone and the flatter flow layer polygon and lake area to the uphill side of it. In this area all growing ridges and quars, show brown-tipped cuttings and cut blades, are thick all over the ground. Old neverwops are numerous, also white verts are fairly common. I looked over about 200 to 300 sq yards this evening—saw not one freshly cut blade. The following winter nests were found: 15 nests without bluebirds, 1 with chevied sep bluebirds, and 1 nest with chevied sep Micovitis rhodae. (Brock found a nest on the willow zone with rhodae of 3 Micovitis). No nests of
