Gress canadensis
22 May Pitmegera River - Two groups
of 5 and 14 were seen about
1200 flying north toward
the study area - high up. Just
before they reached the study area
the two groups coalesced and the
birds began milling about in
the air. Finally, two birds broke
from the congregation and began to
milling separately. After 5 to 10 minutes
all the birds began moving south
again and disappeared over
the horizon. It began to rain
shortly after that.
25 May Pitmegera - Maker seen (on
the bow back of the tent at
breakfast time), and later in
the afternoon we saw six
flying SW over the re-land
at twelve back of camp.
