T. Code 1959 Logopus lagopus 19 June Unniat - nest with 10 egg on s facing slope east of Red bill and below T3. On mounded tussock heath ground with sparse stand of alders up to 3 feet high. Located in a depression under an alder brush 18" high - one egg cracked by weasel - emb bros well-developed eye (lews), limbs present as lews - 25 mm long. Mike Daniels reported finding a nest with 11 eggs a couple of days ago in a bushy area between, camp and the Colville R. No others have been seen. 22 June Unniat- eggs gone at the site reputedly above - no sign of shells or of ptar- does not seem likely that they could have hatched to down-predation? fat 4 June Unniat- Killek- Perryapa Lakes - on air scan up Colville valley, Killek valley across drainages of upper Oolamwagwich to Perryapa Lakes and return-not one single ptarmigan was seen. 26 June Unniat - adult 9 flushed off wood to old Unniat - near T8 in the alder zone of the lower terrace. May have had a brood.
