Falcon peregrinus
6 July
trivrel was stooping repeatedly at one of the
roughlegs. It hit it several times despite its
attempts to avoid the strike by flipping up
on its back. The rough leg finally took shelter
in some brush at the brink of the cliff.

A pair was nesting on the same bluff as
gyr amic #3, with roughlegs in between.
The three nests were situated within a
linear distance of less than 1 mile. Closest
nesting of gyrs and peregrines I've seen.
Roughleg in between may act as a buffer;

near this site but no gyrs seen.

with the double ridge (3rd gyr amic, 1962).
