Falco peregrinus
18 June Unmist, Alaska
I went up by the sandstone outcrops by
the oil well, where peregrines came a few days ago.
It was very quiet and no birds in evidence. I fired
at .22 shot up cevros fears of most like by looking
work. After several records, the falcon flew wildly
out from another ledge closer to the well, and perched
in a large willow tree near by on the slope. I walked
up and examined all the likely places but could
find no egg. The falcon allowed me to get within
50 yds before she flew off to another perch. She was
not like bent to leave the area, but did not dive or
scream at me. The talon was not around.

1100 - Falcon seen perched in the willow tree
again.
28 June Checked this whole area very thoroughly for an
awhile. Found none, indeed, did not even see
the falcon this time.
