T. Code 1959 23 May count- ♀ a heavily banded bird and ventro much darker than ♂ - generally slate grey all over with dark head and conspicuous facial streaks. The ♂ was sitting on brow of the cliff downstream from amid as we approached, flew off and left changing in the air ca 300 yds aft from foot of cliff. I did not flush off until I threw rope over the cliff. Nest situated on ledge under overhanging rock surface of 2 x 4 feet, sloping rather steeply downward, but there is an old stick nest at the lower end of the ledge which acts as a block that would keep eggs or young from falling out. Ledge at 5 ft below bottom of cliff and 46 feet above river on a sheer precipice of sandstone facing southeast. 2 S. Wafe in middle of ledge held 4 eggs, one much darker in color than other three. Took one egg for albumin sample but it proved to be
