Faleo vesticulus in old stick nest. 6 July rocks endure a slight overhang? There were three eggs about 5 weeks old - both same size - either large falcons or small falcons. I took one. No remains of prey, and young appeared not to have been very well fed. The one I took was very poor a light for its size. Never did see the adults at this aerie - spotted the young from the river. I may have nested this aerie in '62, as it is not in a conspicuous place. 7 July No gyps at 1962 aerie #2. Much of the cleft where the nest was in 1962 has fallen away and the whole appearance of the cleft has been changed a good deal. No gyps at 1962 aerie #3 at the bluff with the double ridge. The ledge where the aerie was in '62 had fresh droppings on it but no cleats. Columbia River ca 1/2 mile below above locality - aerie on right side of a small shale outcrop only 20 ft high up on a brush covered slope ca 100 ft above river. Aerie a large ledge 10 ft long 2 ft wide about 5 feet up from bottom of outcrop. Facing North. One of a series of outcrops upriver from a sizeable bluff on which rough lap were nesting. Many ptarmigan remains about the aerie. Both adults were
