Faleo columbarius
11 August-Urnest, Alaska
One was seen flying in the area of T1. As it flew
up the hill toward T2, it suddenly swooped to one side
and struck into a flock of redpolls. It caught one near
or on the ground, and started deflating it on the spot.
I tried to get in for a shot, but it was shy and flew off
covering it only before I was within 50 yds. It was
an adult.
