T. Code 1968 Aquila chrysaetos 9 August - cott- the bird had been eaten by some mammal. Probably the eagle was found closed. John Cantlon reported finding a dead eagle last year - perhaps the same one. I brought it had started to death. 18 August Okfilak - Jogo Rivers Just after taking off from Okfilak Lake an immature eagle flew under the airplane - ca 2000 ft below Okfilak Lake. Later on the Jogo, at 1845 one was seen flying along the river valley, just above camp. It was called to my attention, when my eyes falcon suddenly fixed her gaze in the distance and "triumphed down" her plunge while she was in the process of eating. September Meade River - MwL Salomons' uncle, David, said that yesterday he saw an eagle speeding at a Caribou carcass which he had shot on the Milukotook River. I be said it was so full, it could hardly fly off the ground.
