Buteo lagopus Cree Thompson - one was seen soaring over the central series of bluffs - high up toward the rim. Pitnugger - a pair was seen circling and descending over a steep weld and takes slope inland from the view ca 1 mile along the creek 1mri above camp. They acted as though located in the area but no nest proof evident in any of the likely places. Occasional steep banks in the area but no rock outcrops. Bird in 87 plunge scream. Peter-Schwader Lakes - on "Buteo" ca at a point ca 4 mi NW of Schwader t.- a pair was evident on the upper stretch of the bluffs where a pinegrove armil was located. No nest could be found but the cliffs were much ag- gitated by new pulkaws, and the 87 in particular sliced past peres several times within 20-38 yds. I was not at cleff when we arrived, and she stayed quite a ways out when she came in. Both birds revealed. About 25 pellets were collected from pickers. They are probably the "eagles" reported by Bill / Hambird last year. I halwotted over primaries
