Nest #2 on first right hand bluff
below Killik-wit gap-falcons ca 1/4 mi away.
Nest ca 100 ft above river and 10 ft below
bushy turf on a shale wall facing N.
3 young ca. 10 days old - pin feathers on
wings showing. No remains of prey at nest.
Nest #3 - on right hand cliff ca 1 mi
below double Knife's edge (1956 gap cliff)
pair nesting in same place as last year. Pairing
when we arrived and both adults were on
the nest. Nest 200 ft above river on a shale
outcrop and 10 ft below turf, facing N.E.
Cortuts not checked.
9 July , Colville River
Nest #4 - left bank Bluff above
Unicat - pair with nest on west slope
ca 150 ft above the river - above a shale
table; nest on brink of the creek. 3 young
ca 1 week - no pin feathers showing - facing
NW. Remains of 1 ground squirrel at nest.
Lots of ground squirrels in the area. -
nesting ca 1/4 mi from peregrines.
Nest #5 - cliff on right second above
Unicat - female on nest 2.00 ft from top of
cliff and 100 ft above river. Cliff not
climbed. Rough leg was attacked by peregrines,
nesting near by.
