Cobe 1955 Aythya manila 18 Aug Cant left head upper neck still downy. Tail about fully developed but new feathers still in sheathes only ca. 4 inches long. Specimen destroyed by geyser falcons before I could skin it. 19 August, Jago Lake 1645- two adult males in newly full winter plumage, were seen on the near edge of the lake. They landed near the float plane landing and then swam out toward the middle of the lake. 20 August, Jago Lake 2000 two drakes again on the lake. A loon was present at the same time. 7 August Okjilak Lake- two broods seen as we were taking off in the float plane.
